Privacy notice template — review and customize before launching. This page describes the starter site's basic behaviour. It is not legal advice. Update it for your actual hosting provider, contact details, analytics, newsletter service and advertising configuration.
What information this site collects
The public pages of this starter do not require registration. A hosting company may process technical information such as IP address, browser, requested pages and error logs when your browser connects to the site. Contacting us by email shares the information you choose to send.
Cookies and account access
The private administration area uses a session cookie to keep the site owner signed in. Ordinary visitors do not need this cookie. See our Cookie Policy.
Optional first-party analytics
We ask visitors whether they want to allow anonymous first-party analytics. If you select Allow analytics, we count page views, clicks on internal links, approximate browser-tab sessions, general traffic source categories (such as Google, Pinterest or Direct), and broad device type. We do not store visitor IP addresses, names, email addresses, complete referrer URLs or raw browser user-agent strings in our analytics data. A random session identifier is generated in your browser and stored in sessionStorage; the server saves only its cryptographic hash. Your choice is saved in localStorage. If you decline, no analytics events are sent. You can reopen Analytics choices in the site footer to change your preference. The server retains analytics aggregates and session hashes for up to 90 days. This setup does not guarantee fully anonymous data under every privacy law; review legal requirements for your audience.
Google AdSense
Google ads are not enabled by this analytics feature. If you add advertising later, update this notice to describe your advertising partners and set up any required consent mechanism before ads run.
How long information is kept
Analytics records are retained for up to 90 days. Server logging and backup retention depend on your hosting setup. Define and publish your actual retention practices here.
Your choices and contact
To ask about information relating to you, use the contact page. Depending on your location, privacy laws may give you access, correction, deletion and other rights.
Changes
